The editors requested that I publish under a pseudonym because they did not want to risk identifying the deceased. I did not believe there are unique idetifiers that would reveal the identity of the deceased given I have lost multiple colleagues to suicide. Nevertheless, I agreed to publishing under a psedonymn to not delay publication. I want to address the stigma of mental illness, which is making it difficult for some people to seek help and contributing to suicides.
